Day 8

For Wednesday I decided to try a new joint in the neighborhood. It is called Freshii and about all things healthy and fresh from the garden. They have a $5 meal during the week so I tried the Aztec Burrito. As they say, you get what you pay for. It tasted like fresh cardboard if there is such a thing. I would rather go for something full price next time rather than taking the cheap route. Today's debt equals $9.33 including drink.

Day 7

For Tuesday I also tried a favorite Chipotle. I got the Barbacoa Bowl (brown rice, peppers, barbacoa, tomatoes, corn, sour cream, lettuce and cheese) with a Pineapple Orange Banana Nantucket drink for the total price of $10.25. This is my tried and true seeing as they don't allow you to get tacos with rice and peppers now.

Day 6

For the beginning of this week I chose a favorite: McD's. I got the 5 piece Chicken Select Meal for a total of $7.69. Sometimes you just need some junk food!!!!

Day 5

For the end of the week I decided to try a restaurant from D.C Restaurant Week (A.K.A- Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week ). The decision was made and me and some of my co-workers decided to go to Jaleo. This is a Spanish restaurant and for $20.13 you wanted to see what D.C had to offer. My choices from the menu were:

• 1st course- Sopa de calabaza

• 2nd course- Espinacas a la catalana

• 3rd course- Datiles con tocino como hace todo el mundo

 

 

 

 

• Postres (Dessert)- Espuma de chocolate negro con bizcocho de cacao y helado de avellana



 

All the meals were good but my favorite was the 2nd course!!! Add a mojito to the festivities and the grand total was $33.14.

Day 4

Today's meal comes from a place far, far away. My coworker knows alot about food trucks and had been waiting for a truck called Mojo for a while. Well today he won the lottery because Mojo was making its way to our neck of the woods. I went to support him and have this sandwich which was supposedly so good. Well I can now confirm and say all the hype was true. This sandwich was so good and worth its reputation in gold. This is now my #1 food truck. I was almost tempted to get a 2nd sandwich but cleared my head of temptation and will wait for this food truck to return. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! I spent $17.00 for my meal today. I forgot to mention that I got a cupcake from Crumbs.

Day 3

Today I went to Chop't (Full name:Chop't Creative Salad) and got a salad and drink for a total of $12.63. I got the Flagstaff Salad with the Green Tea Lemonade. It was good and it was my lunch and dinner for the day.
