TL Day 2 and 3

Day 2 did not start of as planned so it was going to look like a repeat of Day 1....

Which would have been a failure!!!!

This did not happen as there was a company lunch so this is what is going to be a fusion post. We went to Oyamel Cocina Mexicana. It had a very interesting design and had lots of animals!!! I got the sandwich (Pancita y Jitomate) which reminded me of Mojo's sandwiches.

I also had a chance to go to the new Walgreens in Chinatown. It is nice to know that this space is occupied as it was a CVS years before. No real suprises but a convience non the less.

Now onto Day 3. I decided to take some chicken with bread and a salad. I never ate the salad but did eat everything else which was delicious if I do say so myself. Frying chicken is alot of work and I understand why it is much easier to go to KFC or Popeye's. I will post my recipe but you need to give yourself a night or day to complete the task as it takes some work.

Can we say Success!!!!

BREAKDOWN

4 pieces of Chicken: $2.60
2 pieces of bread: $.40
Salad: $1.50

Total: $4.50

Today was the first day that I took lunch. Sunday was Easter and 99.9% of the stores were closed so Monday couldn't be my start day. Before I continue I will admit that today was a total fail. I did not prepare and as they say: if you don't plan, then you plan to fail. I went to the store today and have a better plan for tomorrow but today just sucks!!!!!

Now here is the breakdown from left to right:

Wild Cherry: $.57
Tuna Salad: $.89
Cherry Fruit Rollups: $1.00

For a grand total of:

$2.46

Experiment- Eating Out vs Taking Lunch

I have decided to start an experiment. Since I work downtown I have option of taking my lunch or eating out. I want to see how much I spend over a month if I eat out every day and then take my lunch for a month and see what the differences are from a wallet standpoint as well as a physical and emotional state and come up with a analysis on what is a good option moving forward. I started this week but did not post until today so you get a 2 for 1 special......THUMBS UP!!!!!

DAY 1- FEB 4, 2013

For Day 1, I went to a food truck called Cirque Cuisine and had the Kale & White Bean Stuffed Sweet Potato. I also tried the potato chips. I got 2 sodas from work to complete the meal for a total of $16.76. The sweet potato was delicious and is highly recommended. This is the whole reason that you go to a food truck. You go for something different and exciting!!!!

DAY 2- FEB 5, 2013

For Day 2, I went to another food truck called Tasty Fried and got a 4 PC Meal with a Can Lemonade for a total of $10.00. The chicken was good and well worth a try. I promise I am going to mix it up and not just go to the food trucks.
